Volunteers

Kiplin Hall could not survive without its team of volunteers. Around 90 people give their time weekly, monthly or just as and when they can. A number of these people have been part of the team since the Hall re-opened, following refurbishment, in 2001.

In 2012 we need

  • additional room stewards for afternoon openings
  • guides for groups
  • gardeners to work in the Walled Garden weeding, tidying and selling produce mornings and/or afternoons Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
  • Help in the kitchen and Tea Room

There a number of roles in which you may become involved, including:

  • Conservator, working with the collections, historic library and archives
  • Education Facilitator, helping schoolchildren with hands-on activities
  • Gardener
  • General Helper to assist behind the scenes
  • Groundsperson
  • Guided Tour Leader in the house and/or gardens
  • Helper at Friends’ or Hall events
  • Researcher
  • Room Steward
  • Tea Room helper
  • Ticket and Shop Sales Person
